Features Overview eeSiteKit 2.0
Most features are listed in the sub-navigation to your left and/or explained in great detail in the User Guide. The features listed here are just a few highlights to tempt your curiosity.
Up To Date: Compatible with ExpressionEngine 1.6.8 – Commercial, Personal and Core versions, and with EE’s Multiple Site Manager.
No Add-Ons Required: eeSiteKit is an “Add-In” rather than an “Add-On”. It’s an embedded system of native ExpressionEngine tags that works entirely by utilizing EE’s powerful Template Engine. It doesn’t require any additional PHP, Javascript, jQuery, Ajax, etc. It also doesn’t need any plugins, extensions, modules, expansions, or special scripts. It’s pure ExpressionEngine power; unleashed like never before. Of course if you want to use some add-ons in your site, you can. Nearly all of EE popular add-ons work with eeSiteKit.
Friendly URIs: Content page URIs with no category numbers, no category indicator, no nonsense. eeSiteKit creates nested, text-only, URIs your clients will understand.
Spam Resistant Tell-a-Friend: Tell-a-Friend forms got a bad rap when spammers started using them. We’ve created a Tell-a-Friend that’s not attractive to spammers and creates an accurate link back to the referred page of the site. Click the “Share” link above to see what we mean.
Categories Friendly: eeSiteKit takes full advantage of ExpressionEngine’s powerful categories system for organizing and navigating content, giving your site a highly flexible and proven content structure.
Renders Friendly Accessible Code: When you use eeSiteKit, you won’t be embarrassed to let your peers view your page source code, and you’ll find that nearly all the dynamic navigation has unique id’s assigned for easy styling. We regularly test eeSiteKit at w3 and with the WAVE validators too, making sure your new site starts out on a great foundation.
Fully Documented: eeSiteKit’s User Guide helps you get your brain around this advanced development system. We’ve even added a new Quick Setup Guide for EE experts.
No Badge/Brand Requirement: While we would love it if you would leave some hint of eeSiteKit in your site’s code or in your site’s credits/colophon, there is no requirement to do so. We understand what it’s like to be the sub-contractor behind the contractor doing great work for mega-corporations under the cover of darkness. Your secret is safe with us.
Support: While we don’t have a full-time support team like some software companies do, you’ll find we do our best to keep up with support requests in our Support Forums.
