Multilingual Ready: eeSiteKit’s powerful URI management method allows for the complete translation of page URIs without any adjustments to its URI format. This gives every URI in your site a native-language feel in native-language search-engine results pages, and for your visitors.

Please visit our demo site at the following URI, then change the language and watch how the URI changes to fully appreciate this exciting new feature: demo.eesitekit.com/multilingual-channel/multilingual-channel-extended-content/

Nested URIs for ExpressionEngine

Nested URIs for ExpressionEngine

eeSiteKit Creates Human-Friendly Nested URIs Your Visitors and Clients Will Understand

eeSiteKit uses an advanced method of URI segment management as an alternative to ExpressionEngine’s native URI management method. This allows eeSiteKit to produce human-friendly nested URIs without the use of category numbers or a category indicator segment. Best of all, eeSiteKit’s method works without custom queries, hacks, scripts or add-ons; it’s all done with native EE tags and conditionals.

Functionally, eeSiteKit’s URLs work like this*:

http://asitedomain.com/channel-name/category-name/entry-title/(permalink-id-number)

As a visitor moves through the content structure of your site, the nested URIs will look something like this*:

http://asitedomain.com/
http://asitedomain.com/about-us/
http://asitedomain.com/about-us/company-history/
http://asitedomain.com/about-us/company-history/our-founder/123/

Accurate Dynamic Content Selection: eeSiteKit hides category ID numbers and category indicator segments from site visitors, but not from EE’s powerful Channel tags. This means that EE knows what the correct category id number is, even when you have multilingual category URI segments or two categories with the exact url_title in different Channels, and that means you get the right content, on the right page every time.

* The (www) sub-domain and EE’s default /index.php/ segment has been removed in these examples just as they have been removed from eesitekit.com
