eeSiteKit’s printer-friendly system provides an out-of-the-box pre-configured dynamic printable-page template* for your website.

A lot of us are too busy with other details of a website to give much thought to how well a site’s pages work for printing. If we could just “turn it on” and know it was working, we would include a print option in a lot more of our projects. Well now you can. eeSiteKit gives you a finished printer-friendly page that’s ready to go. Or. . . use it as a starting point for your own custom print page layout and just use eeSiteKit to make sure your return page links are right.

*eeSiteKit’s printer-friendly functionality is completely modular and can easily be removed if you have a CSS-only solution that you prefer. In our testing of several CSS-only print solutions, we haven’t found one that works well across all browsers and printer drivers. This old-school template-based solution has worked for us when CSS-only solutions tripped up older print drivers and browsers, so we’re sticking with this method for a few more years. As things evolve, we think the future holds a CSS-only solution that’s fully supported - we just don’t think we’re there yet.
