Time Saving - Edit This Entry - Links for ExpressionEngine

eeSiteKit 2.0 features an optional “Edit This Entry” link that allows logged-in admins/publishers (with the proper pre-assigned permissions) to link directly to an entry in the Edit-Tab of the Control Panel of EE from a public-facing page in the website.

If you’re logged in and have the proper permission to edit an entry, then you see a small link somewhere near the entry. This link will take you directly to that entry for editing in EE, saving you time searching through the Edit area for that specific entry.

The links do not load in site pages unless you are logged in with the correct permissions keeping the link back to your admin area secure and hidden from site visitors.

The access control tag (access conditionals) for all display templates is located in a centralized template so you can make changes in one place, keeping your access rules consistent across templates and making changes to access permissions easier to manage. We’re using “Edit This Entry” links in this site but the only place you’ll see one is in the image above.

If you had permission to edit this entry, you would see the link directly below the title as in the image above. Note that the link can be placed just about anywhere; below the title is where I prefer it.

Save time and energy searching through all your site’s entries and employ the “Edit This Entry” link.

It’s multilingual-ready too!
