Any EEsiteKit training or seminars in the Portland, Oregon area?

Greetings Kurt. I was wondering if you were thinking about having any hands-on seminars, training, or other opportunities to learn EEsiteKit in Portland. Even a “demo day” at your office would be really helpful for us in the area. Let us know if you’re open to doing that - thanks!

Hi Allan,

Nothing in the works right now. Partly so that I don’t take any energy away from Michael’s Event this summer, partly because I want to have eeSiteKit 2.0 released before I do any hands-on training, and partly because I would like to have EE 2.0 loaded up on my server (and in my brain) when I start creating teaching materials, so that I can create them once and know that most of them will be good for at least a year if possible.

The thought of doing some classroom training has crossed my mind though and I actually have some notes about how it might work, what I might cover and how many folks it would take to cover the cost. Don’t look for anything before this fall though.

eeSiteKit is selling really well in the Netherlands, and I’ve never been there, so I might need to crate something I could take on the road at some point. For now though we have these community forums and these will have to do.

Although, since you’re in town, perhaps we could visit one of those great coffee spots with wifi over in NE PDX some afternoon. I’m just not ready for anything very official at this point.

Thanks for the background, Kurt. I’m sure there’s a lot that could be done (too much!). I live in NE; I still want to meet you and say hello at least sometime. I’ll check out the Event this Summer, hopefully I can get the cost sponsored by my office.

I’ll be watching for eeSiteKit 2 - is that coinciding with EE2?

For my own safety EllisLab has not informed me of the launch date of EE 2.0.

I would love to have eeSiteKit 2.0 ready within 30 days of EE’s release though. We’ll see what happens.
