Configuring ExpressionEngine for eeSiteKit

“The most flexible web publishing system you’ll ever meet” (ExpressionEngine), requires a little configuration before its ready for use. This section of the eeSiteKit User Guide covers how to set up EE to work with eeSiteKit.

If this is your first time using eeSiteKit, we highly recommend you invest a little time in reading through this section. Getting EE’s configuration right for eeSiteKit now will save you hours later in your project.

You will want to start at the top of the list of sub-navigation in this section and work your way through all the pages to ensure that EE is ready for you.

Don’t forget to publish an entry to your “home” Channel’s “Landing” page, so you can test the configuration. When there’s no content assigned to a page, eeSiteKit will show you a 404 type error.

Also, if things are not working for you, check the Trouble Shooting section for common challenges.

I’m ready already, let’s go!
